Under Forgotten Stars
A Sci-fi Solo Game of Exploration, Mapping, and Surviving
You wake up alone, on a world that has been abandoned. You remember nothing about who you are. Explore the majestic and terrifying planet as you try to find yourself and, maybe, find a way home.
A solo exploration, map-making, and journaling point-crawl game inspired by Metroid Prime, Breath of the Wild, and Hyper Light Drifter. A flexible and evocative sci-fi adventure about exploring rather than violence.
Using a combination of prose, targeted questions, and open prompts, Under Forgotten Stars creates feelings of discovery, introspection, and wonder at the rich world it will conjure through play.
The Basic Edition of the game contains the six core Regions of the game, and playing the Basic Edition is still an extensive experience, not a dumbed-down or simplified one. The Expanded Edition has ten main Regions and ten Depths, more than doubling the game’s content and adding more options, more discoveries, a postgame, and even an alternate ending.
A Complete Draft of the Basic Edition and an Incomplete Draft of the Expanded Edition are on my Patreon at the $3 Tier.

The Plan For The Future
The Basic Edition is Complete and playable, though the Expanded has a long way to go. I have a total framework for the game and a plan for nearly each page, but it’s a lot of content and prose to write, it takes me a while. In the process of making the Expanded Edition, I also rebuilt a lot of the stuff that will be the Basic Edition, so there’s some advances there, but it’s not all put together enough yet to be playable in that form.
With the system established, Under Forgotten Stars is the current focal point of my writing time while other projects need design or testing work.
